   "Sir, we have some bad news and some good news." Antonio slowly lifted his head out of his hands to look the doctor in the eye. He could tell from the doctors somber expression that someone hadn't made it.

   Both him and his wife had tried for years to get pregnant. And when they finally succeeded they were overjoyed. As soon as they got the news they got right to decorating their spare guest bedroom for their incoming child. Being their miracle baby they decided that they wanted to keep the gender a secret until it was born.

   Antonio couldn't bare the fact that one of the two hadn't made it. Was it his wife that he poured his life and love into? Or their baby, who had not wronged the world in any way or even had yet to open it's eyes?

   "Sir, I strongly regret to inform you that your wife didn't make it. After the first child was born, a second one seemed to be trying to make its way out. The second child was the one we had some complications with. After the second baby was removed, your wife began to bleed internally, and there was nothing that we could do." The doctor left with a short nod, but not before handing the now grief stricken father two forms, stating the babies information. They were twins, one boy and one girl. The boy was older by three minutes, which must mean that it was the girl. The girl was the one who caused the bleeding.

   Antonio didn't want to have to sit there and come up with the names of his children. Not without his wife there with him.

   They had previously discussed baby names, and his wife had found multiple Italian names that she had grown fond of. The one that she had taken the strongest liking to was the name Romano. Antonio let out a small chuckle as he wrote down 'Romano' in the space provided. Next was the girls name. Antonio's wife had given him the decision of a girl name. Since they didn't know the gender of the baby at the time, it seemed only fair that each got to pick a name. Antonio had grown quite fond of the name _y/n_, and his wife would laugh when he ran around the house chanting it, claiming that doing so would cause the baby to be a girl. He let out a sigh as he wrote '_y/n_' in the name space provided.

   He walked to the room that his wife had been in, but the bed was stripped clean of sheets, and all machines were pushed to the side. Only but a few hours ago his wife had lain in that bed holding their first-born child.

   He let out a quick curse under his breath as he felt tears begin to trail down his face. His hand clutched the papers tightly as he stood in that terrible room full of both life and death.

   Antonio delivered both forms to one of the nurses, and was led toward the nursery. This was the first time that he would see both of his children together. He had caught but only a glimpse of Romano before he was quickly rushed out of the room.

   Both babies lay side by side in two identical cradles. Antonio let out a small squeal of delight as he saw both his newborns, and the rest of the babies in the nursery.

                                  ~5 years later~
   Today was both you and your brothers birthday! Papa had told you that Romano was older by three minutes, but you still liked to say that you guys were exactly the same age.

   Neither of you had ever truly met your mother. You had only ever heard of her through your papa's words, and seen her through pictures. She was a very pretty lady with Romano's brown eyes, and your _h/c_ hair. Your papa had never truly elaborated on what had happened to your Mother, so all you could do was wonder...

   "¡Felíz cumpleaños mí bambinos! (Happy birthday my babies!)" Your papa had a large grin upon his face as be presented you both with small cakes. Your face lit up as you saw the five candles atop the cake,  but when you turned to look at Romano he had a scowl on his face. "Happy birthday Roma!", you exclaimed as you dug into your cake. He let out a grumble of a reply, and then began to eat.

   While your papa began to clean up and wash the dishes you followed Romano up stairs.

   Romano and you had always been close, and he wasn't one to ever really open up to anyone. Although he had somewhat of a temper, you still loved him. He was pretty much always sweet to you, (except for the occasional argument.) So whenever he got into one of his grumpy moods you always knew what to do to get him out of it.

   "Hey Roma, what's wrong?" You plopped yourself atop the bottom bunk of the bed you two shared. He sat at the opposite end with his arms crossed, and a scowl plastered on his face. When he refused to reply you sat looking at the floor while swinging your legs back and forth. You began to glance in his direction every now and then to see if he was up for talking. When you both finally made eye contact you let out a small grin. His eyes widened and he quickly turned his head away. You giggled and then pounced on him, he then let out a scream when you began tickling him. After a minute of not letting up he finally let out a scoff, which was quickly followed by a stream of giggles.

   Your papa came running up the stairs as soon as he heard Romano scream. Curious as to what had happened he opened the door expecting to see you and your brother fighting. He was quite surprised to find the exact opposite. The two of you were in a tickling war, and it seemed like Romano had successfully gotten the upper hand.

                            ~7 years later~

   "Good morning Roma!" You called to him as you sat in the kitchen eating your breakfast. As he walked into the kitchen he grumbled back a good morning before grabbing a tomato and heading back to your shared bedroom.

                                       ~~~~~~~
   "Listen Romano I think that you are old enough now for me to tell you." Antonio stared meaningfully at Romano who was sitting on his bed eating a tomato. "Well, what the hell did you want to tell me?" Antonio widened his eyes in mock surprise as he exclaimed, " language, young man! Anyway, I feel that you are old enough now for me to tell you how your mother truly passed away." Romano's hand was halfway to his mouth when he suddenly froze. "Wh..what do you mean? Why are you going to tell me? Why not tell _y/n_ to?! We're the same age aren't we?" There was an exasperated look on his face as he searched for some reason not to receive the information. "Romano I don't want your sister to know yet...your mother..she was the most beautiful creature to ever walk this Earth..she was my everything,  but that was until you came along and then I had two things that were my whole world." Romano had a slightly confused look on his face, "What do you mean only two? What about _y/n_? Weren't we born at around the same time?" Antonio let out a sharp sigh as he continued his story, "Well after you were born we thought that we were extremely lucky to have a happy and healthy child, but soon after you arrived we were told that there was another baby on its way...We couldn't have been happier...to know that another perfect baby was on the way..but...but the way _y/n_ came wasn't as easy as your delivery. _y/n_ was having slight complications with coming out...and when she was finally delivered..well your mother...well she..she hadn't made it." Antonio's eyes were filling with tears as he looked up to see Romano's face. Romano was staring at the floor at the tomato which sat there long forgotten.
                                   *back to you~*
   You put away your breakfast dishes in the sink and then headed upstairs. You had decided that you wanted to play a game with Romano since you two never hung out as much as you used to anymore. Once you got to your bedroom you overheard your dad talking to Romano. Curious as to what they were talking about you decided to listen, "_y/n_ was having slight complications with coming out...and when she was finally delivered..well your mother...well she..she hadn't made it." You stared at whatever was in front of you while you tried to comprehend this information...so you had killed your mother? The woman who had been in love with your father? The one who had so much looked forward to raising both you and your brother?" As you continued to stand there you realized that the room had gone silent, not wanting your dad and brother know what you had heard you skipped into the room with a big grin on your face. "Hey Roma, do you wanna go play some football (soccer)?" Romano snapped his head up quickly to meet your gaze, "You bitch." Both you and your fathers jaws dropped when you heard the words uttered from his mouth. "Roma..what do you mean? Did you hear me correctly? I asked if you wanted to play some footba-" you were suddenly cutoff as Romano sent a sharp glare in your direction. "Yes I fucking heard you, you bastard. It was all your fault! You..you..you killed her! Your a murdered, why did you even have to be born?! Or even better, why couldn't you have died and she have lived! I had to miss being raised by a mother because of you! Do you know how fucking hard it is to explain to every person who asks where your mother is?!" By the end of the rant Romano was practically fuming. You had been stunned speechless as you tried to find a way to reply, when you found no nice way you decided to do exactly what he did to you right back.
   You voice began in a whisper, and slowly began to rise. "Now you better listen to me, and listen to me good Romano! I'm not a murdered! Do you think that I would choose to have a life with out a mother?! I'm terribly sorry that I inconvenienced you by making your mother disappear,  but did you ever consider the fact that she was my mother to? Your not the only one who fucking lost something, we both lost a mother and papa lost his wife! Maybe I should've died instead of her! Maybe then you wouldn't act like a piece of shit to everybody!" Tears finally began cascading down your cheeks as you turned around, ran down stairs and ran out the front door.
                                    *Roma's POV*
   As I sat there fuming from my rant, I almost chuckled to myself as I realized that _y/n_ was speechless.
   Almost.
   She began to rant like I previously did, except louder and with more emotion. When she started I thought that she was just letting off steam, but the she called me 'Romano' I new that she was seriously angry. She never calls me Romano, but always Roma. I started to feel a little bad about what I had said to her when I was yelling.
   A little.
   Then she cursed. _y/n_ never cusses even when we have arguments. I'm the only one in this house who ever cusses.
   Suddenly _y/n_ dashed from the room and ran off to who knows where.
   But something about what she said bothered me. What was it she had said? "Maybe I should have died instead of her!" The pit of my stomach fell as I recalled what I had said to her, and her reply back.
                                *back to normal POV*
   You ran through your front yard and down the street. You crept up your neighbors lawn and broke off two tulips from his garden. You continued up the street, occasionally glancing around to see if they had found you yet. Once you arrived at the large gates you let out a sigh of relief. Maneuvering expertly around the politely spaced stones you spotted your mother. You slowly walked over and placed the flowers in front of the headstone. Slowly rubbing the tears away from your face you sat down. "Hey mom...Roma and I got into a big fight today, and I said some stuff that I didn't mean and he said things that really hurt me. And...and I just don't know what to do!" As you sat there in silence you once again glanced around and then slowly crawled next to the headstone and fell asleep.
                               *back at the house POV*
   Antonio had been frantically going door to door to see if anyone had seen _y/n_. While Romano was back at the house worrying over what you had said. You had never actually gotten that angry before. And he was starting to realize the danger of what he actually had said. Where had _y/n_ gone? Was she in danger? Was she currently a danger to herself? Romano scribbled down a quick note telling Antonio where he went and then left the house. Romano began to think the worst when he couldn't find you anywhere. He began to conjure up terrifying images of ways that you could already be dead.
   Antonio was having no luck whatsoever in finding his daughter. He was now regretting the fact that he decided to tell Romano at this age. And the more he thought about it the more he wondered how had you know what Romano was accusing you of?...And then it donned on him you must have come upstairs, heard them talking, and then stayed to eavesdrop. He was also beginning to regret all of that pirate training he gave both of you when you were younger. After all, only a stealthy pirate could walk up quietly and listen in on conversations.
   Romano was running through his neighbors yard when he spotted that two long stemmed flowers were missing. Right then he knew exactly where _y/n_ was...when they were younger and they would go to visit their mother _y/n_ would always run up in their neighbors yard and grab two of his flowers. And when she was questioned why she did that she claimed that their mother would prefer nice flowers instead of some tomatoes like they had in their own garden. Romano laughed at the memory but his smile was quickly wiped away when the memory of you yelling back at him came to mind. He started to walk quickly toward where their mother resided.
   As you lay there you were fully knocked out, you were both mentally and emotionally tired. You had never fought with your brother quite like that so you just wanted to sleep, and have it all disappear.
   Suddenly you felt two large hands pick you up, and though asleep, you knowingly snuggled closer to the body slightly happy that your brother or your papa had found you. But as they held you you could feel their hot breath against your face, and you realized that you weren't sure who it was that was holding you. You cracked your eyes open a bit and were surprised to see your papa. His face was red, and he was panting. From the looks of it he had been running.
   You continued to lay there feigning sleep while your papa crouched down onto his knees and pulled you close into a hug. "_y/n_ I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry.. I-I didn't want you to know. I didn't want you to hate me, or your brother, or even your self. I..I'm sorry." When he got to his last 'I'm sorry' he pulled you closer to his body and began to cry. As sobs racked his body he was unaware of someone watching from a distance.
   As Romano arrived at the gate he quickly spotted his mothers headstone. He began to walk over toward it when something stopped him dead in his tracks. He saw his father hunched over on the ground, and he looked like he was...crying?
   Curious as to why he was also there Romano walked even closer. And when he finally arrived upon the grave he saw what his father was doing. There she was..._y/n_..his sister laying on the ground in a forever sleep in their fathers arms(Or so it seemed.)
   Romano's legs suddenly gave out at the sight of his sister. He couldn't bare to look at her. He wanted to see her again like how she was that morning. Full of life, and energy. He wanted her to call him Roma again..if only for one last time. She had left on a very bad note and now he was going to forever regret what he said to his sister. "R..Roma what's the matter?" Romano suddenly looked up to see where his sister lay. Your eyes were wide and full of life, and you were staring right at him. He was too taken aback to reply. You suddenly got out of your fathers embrace and crawled over to Romano. You reached out, and wiped Romano's face. He had tears pouring down his cheeks that he seemed to be unaware of. As you quickly went to apologize for what you had said earlier you were pulled into a big hug from Romano. As he held you tightly you decided to ask what was wrong, but as he began to shake from his sobs you decided against it.
   You wrapped your arms around him, promising that everything was ok. Your papa slowly came over to join the two of you and brought you both into a big hug. This action suddenly brought tears to your eyes, and caused the whole lot of you to become a sobbing mess.
   As a woman sat she sighed at what she had just saw. They were really beautiful children weren't they? And that lovely man, how she missed him. She wiped a tear from her eye and got up to walk away. "Thank you all for not forgetting me."
